Baby Coop is here! His name is Colby Edward. He was born 10/29 at 10:20 after a whirlwind birth. He weighed in a 6 lbs 7 ozs and was 20 inches long. More details and some pictures to come...

Right now we covet your prayers because he was admitted to the hospital Monday evening for jaundice. A normal level is 4-6 and Colby was at 22.9 Monday night. He was really lethargic all day Monday, hardly ate at all, and was struggling to make poopy diapers. We were lucky to get maybe half an ounce in him all day. So Monday night he was hooked up to an IV and put under the special lights. He does get to wear pretty cool sunglasses! Things definitely started improving yesterday. His level was down to 19 at 6 am and he started eating more, about 12 -15 cc’s (half an ounce) per feeding. Last night though he started making his major comeback! At 6 pm his level was at 14.2 and last night he averaged about 2 ounces per feeding! He is also starting to have lots of poopy diapers! They just checked his levels and it’s down to 12!! So hopefully Colby will be healthy enough to come home today. Please keep us in your prayers!

Here I am at just shy of 32 weeks. Only 8 to go!

And here is the glider that I bought for the nursery. It actually is a lot more green than this picture lets on.

After the shower I was able to start putting the nursery together! It was nice to have Aunt Cara here to help me finish painting! I still have to do all the trim work, but it's coming along.

Melissa Dykstra threw me my first baby shower this past weekend. She did a fabulous job, I had so much fun! And it was so nice that Cara was able to come!

We got to play lots of fun games! Did you know they make mac and cheese flavored baby food?!


Bethany and Lindsay really enjoyed smelling the diapers. I was way better at identifying the smushed up chocolate bars than the baby food!

My friends spoiled me with lots of fun presents! I got toys, blankets, a boppy seat, stuff for the nursery, a newborn photo session, and bath stuff, including a shark towel!

Melissa made lots of yummy food! She even made my favorite gooey brownies!

Here I am at 24 weeks. We can now see Baby Coop kicking! Lance was also able to finally feel Baby Coop kick!
